“If someone had shown me this ten years ago or even five years ago, I would have said: ‘That’s not me at all; I’ll never act like that; I’ve never acted like that.’ But after that loss, I did act that way, and I actually didn’t recognize myself. So I feel like my husband, for example, had to get used to the new me far more than I had to get used to him.”
