SUPPORT FOR THE BEREAVED
Everyone comes to terms with death in their own way.
We'll help you find it.
WHAT'S IT ALL ABOUT?
When someone you love dies, it’s… a big change. You need help:
cope with the shock
release emotions, anger, fear
to realize the truth
begin to break free from old chains…
...and find a new place in life.
It may not seem like it now, but there is an end to it. Everyone comes to terms with death in their own way. We'll help you find yours.
OUR PROMISE
EVERYTHING WE DO HAS BEEN TESTED.
Our counseling for bereaved families is based on practical experience: we have planned and gone through many farewells with our clients, and we already know what works.
WE WON'T FORCE YOU TO DO ANYTHING.
With us, you won’t do anything you don’t want to do. Nor will you do anything that might traumatize you. That said, we’re happy to offer advice and recommendations: we don’t want to just echo your thoughts, and we’re not afraid to take an active role.
EVERYTHING WE SAY IS CONFIDENTIAL.
We do not enter this information into any medical records, nor do we provide it to health insurance companies or anyone else.
WE'LL HELP YOU FUNCTION IN YOUR DAILY LIFE.
Everything we do is focused on practical benefits. We try not to overanalyze things from a psychological perspective.
THE MOURNING WILL END SOMEDAY.
Mourning comes to an end, and one day the sun will rise again. Just as every child has learned to walk (even if it didn't seem that way at first), so too will every person who is grieving eventually find their own way to start functioning in life again.
OUR METHODS
THE TASK MODEL (WILLIAM WORDEN)
According to Worden, the first step is to accept the loss as a reality, then go through the grieving process, adapt to a world without our loved one, and finally detach emotionally from that person and redirect our feelings elsewhere. In our view, there’s no need to forget or sever ties, but rather to learn to function in this new situation—and to find joy.
RITUALS
Our funeral rites are primarily based on rituals. They allow us to come to terms with death and begin the grieving process. But even in the life that follows a loss, you need to establish rituals that will help you. Whether they’re your own rituals to ease the longing throughout the day, or those related to your beloved who has passed away—perhaps around the time they would have celebrated another birthday, during Christmas, or on All Souls’ Day.
ART THERAPY
Writing, drawing, and even activities like modeling or cutting out shapes may seem a bit childish, but they can help the soul come to terms with the finality of death, awaken the right memories, and untangle the knots…
COGNITIVE-BEHAVIORAL THERAPY
Together, we'll try to identify your negative thought patterns, try to change (reframe) them, and then build a new narrative.
