A Memory That Will Never Fade: Floral Paintings from a Funeral Bouquet

Every funeral bouquet or arrangement we create with you is completely unique. We never choose from a catalog. Each one reflects a part of your loved one, your care, and the energy that we—together with our florist—have put into creating it.

That’s why we’re often sad when this beauty wilts after a few days—even if it has served its purpose at a graveside or in a church—and ultimately has to be thrown away. But we’ve found a way to preserve it. We can gently press the flowers from the ceremony and turn them into a beautiful artwork. This creates a unique, tangible, and lasting memento of this special day of farewell.

What do floral paintings look like?

How are paintings created?

Our colleagues at the Czech workshop LissWood are responsible for the delicate transformation of flowers into works of art. They do everything by hand with the utmost care: they dry the flowers, press them, and then arrange them into a picture. They make the wooden frame themselves and treat it with natural oil. The entire picture is thus made entirely from natural materials—only plants, glass, and wood, with absolutely no plastics.

How does it work?

You don't have to worry about a thing. Immediately after the funeral, we'll carefully wrap your floral arrangement or bouquet (wrapping the stems in a damp cloth to ensure they survive the trip) and send it to our colleagues at LissWood.

They will use it to create your portrait within about a month. We will then either ship the finished piece to you securely or be happy to deliver it to you in person—for example, along with the urn.
